  1. Reading and meditating on Scripture is an important part of my faith and walk with Jesus Christ. I used to be overwhelmed at the idea of trying to fit it in, but actually, I find that if you commit to a particular time and practice doing this on a daily basis, it becomes so much more than routine, but rather an opportunity to spend time in God’s presence and Word for your life.

For me personally, I wake up in the morning, take a shower, get dressed, and then spend time in prayer to connect with the Father. After I pray, I read His Word in no particular order, but pick a place and just begin reading and meditating on it. Wherever I land in the Bible, I know that God’s Word encourages, teaches, and gives peace to me to start my day.

Doing this everyday has helped me connect with God in a purposeful way even for a few minutes. We can get so easily bogged down in our schedules that we forget that God is there, patiently waiting for us to return to Him, and spend time with Him. It’s the most important and most rewarding part of my day!

Thanks for your encouraging blog post. I look forward to experiencing God’s love and peace together as we journey in our faith.

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to share how you are able to spend time in God’s Word. I like how you read it according to where God wants to take you. I appreciate you sharing and I have learned to listen more to what God is trying to tell me. I too look forward to growing in our faith together.
