Welcome to The Scarlet Rope.

My journey to build my relationship with God has been an interesting one including many ups and downs. I started this blog to share this journey with you and I invite you to share yours.

I chose the title The Scarlet Rope for this blog because I admire Rahab’s willingness to risk everything she had to help others for a God she barely knew. This rope is a sign of her faith. (Please see Joshua 2)

I grew up in a devoted Catholic home and am now a Presbyterian. I am proud to be a part of the Praise Team as well as a Sunday School teacher. Outside of the church, I work full time as a clinical nurse manager and I am married to a hard working respiratory therapist. Together we raise two amazing boys who we have adopted from South Korea. My journey with God started in my Catholic home, however my relationship with Him started to deepen only three years ago.

Perhaps you have a strong relationship with God and know Him well–please teach me. Perhaps you have no relationship with God and do not know Him at all–please stay awhile. Or perhaps, you’re like me and you’re trying to figure this out–we’re in this together with Him.
